Professor Dr. Alison Scott-Baumann is Professor of Society and Belief and Associate Director of Research (Impact and Engagement) at SOAS, University of London. She and her research team undertook a three-year AHRC grant to analyse representations of Islam and Muslims on campus (2015-18). She speaks on BBC Radio 4, writes for Guardian and several higher education blogs and applies philosophy to social justice issues. She currently leads a research project called Influencing Corridors of Power, working with academics on one-page briefings of evidence-based findings for every MP and every peer https://blogs.soas.ac.uk/cop/. She recently launched an All-Party Parliamentary Group on Communities of Inquiry across the generations.
